Puppy Lessons
Lessons are held in the privacy of your home. Your pup will learn the basic commands, (sit, stay, down, come and loose leash walking). Play biting, nipping, jumping, stealing and housebreaking will be addressed as needed.

Michelle LaMarca Knapp is the owner and head trainer of Ain't Misbehavin' Canine Academy. Michelle has been training dogs for close to 20 years, having trained with some of the best trainers in the New York area. Ten years ago she decided to go into business for herself and opened Ain't Misbehavin' Canine Academy. We offer private, individualized instruction in basic obedience, manners, behavioral problem solving, socialization, confidence building and puppy training. We train dogs of all sizes, breeds and temperaments and have helped thousands of dog owners to successfully train their dogs to become well mannered family pets.
Our training methods utilize lots of praise and positive reinforcement as well as leash guidance and correction that is designed to encourage socially appropriate canine behavior in a variety of settings. You and your family will learn effective training techniques so you can properly communicate with your dog to get desired behaviors. You will get and keep your dog's attention without a clicker and without cruel and punishing techniques. We are committed to helping you build a strong, life long relationship with your dog by using positive, balanced training and communication. We provide you with imaginative, understandable, EFFECTIVE RESULTS ORIENTED dog training.
Michelle is a certified AKC CGC evaluator. She is a member of Long Island Pet Professionals and Nassau Dog Training Club, Inc. She has been involved with lab rescue on Long Island for over 20 years and is an active board member of Long Island Labrador Retriever Rescue.
